BC Network of Child and Youth Advocacy Centres hosted an in-person meeting of multi-disciplinary professionals from across all operational and in-development CYACs in BC to discuss the need for work teams to develop provincial practices for the work of the centres. The 60 professionals spent the day having in-depth discussions on interviewing of children and youth, how a file makes its way through a centre, case reviews and management, and medical and mental health needs of children and youth who have been abused. From this productive day two Provincial Practices Work Teams were created.
